Just a quick post to let you all know we're home!

See!

You think I was born yesterday?

....errr, well, actually... you'd be right!

Yes, today I am 1 whole day old!!! Today Nana came to see me again, and brought me some pink clothes, and ones which fit too! I don't know if it's just me, but most of the stuff that Mum and Dad brought look like they'll fit my big sister Gemma.

Later on Daddy & Gem came and played with me for a bit. Daddy seemed to enjoy changing my dirty nappy soooo much! As a treat, I waited until just after he'd changed me before I filled that one too!

Anyway, too tired to type much... I'll just leave you to look at me in these pics:

Keep this date in your diaries!

Heyyyyyyyy, long time no post... well, must be about a week at least.

So today, I decided to make an appearance!

It was getting a little cramped in there, I can tell you.

So... all the answers to the usual 'frequently asked questions' are here:

I'm a girl.
No, they didn't know before I was born (and they made this quite obvious too!)
Yes, 7lb 5oz.
Yes, it is a good weight isn't it?
Yes, Freya.
No, no middle names.
Yes, I came out like a little Caesar. He was demanding too, I hear...
Yes, I'm perfect thank you.
And yes, Mummy's fine too.

Daddy? Well, he's a little tired (and emotional!), but bearing up... you know, he's never one to make a fuss, he just soldiers on... ( - what do you mean this isn't a frequently asked question??!?!) :-)
I'm sure there's others in there too, but can't think of any right now (you try thinking clearly after going through what I've been through...

Oh wait, there is the old "who does she look like?" chestnut?

Well, a few people have said I look like Daddy. Which I suppose is roughly true. We've both got approximately the same amount of hair (though mine has more style than his, and mine will actually grow longer!!!). The only other similarity seems to be that we both have heads.
I've also been likened to Mummy, and Gemma. To be honest, these are far more flattering comparisons. When I grow up, I'm going to be just like Gemma. She's already told me that she's going to buy me loads of fancy things to put in my hair.

OK, that's enough talk. Just ooh, aah and awww over a few more pics, and I'll demand Daddy takes some more soon.

Me in "the oven"...

... or at least, that's what I hear Daddy saying. He also seems to think I'm a bun.

I fear that my only hope is that I'll have to hurry up and get born, pray that he's never solely responsible for my care, and educate myself to the level where I might find a cure for whatever he's got. In the meantime, he'll just have to carry on with the medication, and maybe speak to a good GP about upping his dose.

I'm also still slightly concerned that no-one knows my name is Freya yet. "Baby" Hendry may be cute, but could be slightly tiresome by the time I reach my teens. They don't seem to realise that everytime they get my name wrong, "the oven" (don't worry - *I* know it's Mummy... I'm just playing them at their own game here!) gets a kick in the tummy.
